Job Summary:
Ensure that all shipments are properly covered as per company’s policy. Coordinate with different entities to solve clients, suppliers & forwarders claims in an efficient and effective manner.
Job Responsibilities
• Analyze and investigate different type of received claims, including shortages, waiting time charges, miscellaneous issues, and damages, and take the necessary actions to resolve them with suppliers, clients, forwarders, and insurance companies.
• Follow-up claim settlements to ensure timely resolution and reimbursement.
• Review pending claims list and proceed with necessary follow-up.
• Review, verify, and execute received credit notes.
• Prepare and submit marine insurance proposals for all shipments on a daily basis.
• Validate, record, and maintain all received e-policies accurately.
• Coordinate with brokers and insurers for marine policy endorsements, modifications and special cases.
• Follow-up with the insurance company on non-received policies.
• Handle proper filing and documentation of all claims.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in his/her area of work.
• Assist with additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
• University Bachelor Degree in the Insurance field, or general business administration.
• Experience in the Insurance field, claims service and Claims handling.
• Minimum experience from 1 to 3 years
• Knowledge in Marine Insurance is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communications & customer service skills.
• Ability to create effective presentations and present case.
• Familiar with insurance terms.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
